  • A minimum of 10 years of product management, product development, or operational leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a management role.
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, product management, business, or a related field is required.
  • Ability to build and lead high-performing teams in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills, with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Project management capabilities focused on delivering results on time and within budget.
  • Experience navigating regulatory environments, including familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices, Proposition 65, and other relevant standards, and establishing compliance initiatives and processes.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy aligned with the company's business goals and brand vision.
  • Track and manage product-related key performance indicators to drive growth, optimize product launches, and achieve Hero product status across all brands.
  • Collaborate with senior management and cross-functional leaders to align operational priorities with company direction.
  • Build, train, and retain a high-performing product team, set performance expectations, provide feedback, and create growth opportunities.
  • Oversee all phases of product development, from initial concept through vendor briefs, product testing, product approval, packaging development, and production readiness.
  • Implement the Quick to Market Product Development structure and methodologies to reduce evaluation and launch timing for high-demand consumer brand concepts.
  • Populate a multi-year new product launch pipeline, ideate product concepts, evaluate opportunities with Marketing and executive leadership, and prioritize and schedule launches using market insights, trends, and consumer feedback.
  • Partner with Marketing and Education on go-to-market strategies, product marketing stories, and substantiated product claims.
  • Ensure manufacturing methods and finished goods meet quality, safety, and sustainability standards, while monitoring regulatory developments affecting products, operations, and profitability.
  • Research and identify high-impact emerging technologies applicable to the beauty consumer goods industry.
  • Develop high-potential technologies from low readiness to high readiness for incorporation into saleable beauty products.
  • Form strategic relationships with external subject matter experts and business partners.
  • Generate and protect intellectual property, including patents and trademarks.
  • Partner with Supply Chain teams to manage supplier relationships, product innovation and quality, production readiness and compliance, and new manufacturing technologies.
  • Support market expansion into international markets, retail customers, and new sales channels.
  • Enhance existing products through reformulations, repackaging, cost reductions, and updated claims testing.
  • Orchestrate technology transfers between vendors, develop new vendors, and protect business profitability.
  • Respond to customer complaints, close quality defects, and incorporate customer feedback into product changes and new product development.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in e-commerce, beauty, or consumer goods industries.
  • A Master of Business Administration degree.
