We are seeking for a talented General Manager who delivers exceptional hospitality to our guests; leads our team in a motivational, energizing and effective manner; and returns business results.
Management
- Oversee the establishment, ensuring profitability and profit margins.
- Manage the daily operations of the establishment. Monitor and evaluate profitability. Develop and utilize dashboards to track business activity.
- Assess material and immaterial resources necessary for smooth operations.
- Organize the supply of materials, equipment, and provisions.
- Responsible for legal compliance and follow-up.
Business Development
- Be accountable for achieving the commercial, managerial, and financial objectives of the hotel.
- Prepare the budget and implement action plans to ensure profitability.
- Adapt flexibly, intelligently, and proactively to the needs of the business while anticipating future challenges.
- Continuously adjust the service offering according to customer trends.
- Conduct market and competitor analysis.
- Monitor and evaluate service quality.
- Implement promotional initiatives for the establishment.
Leadership & Communication
- Act as the hotel’s first “ambassador” with clients and local institutions.
- Ensure client satisfaction (guests, employees, and owners) and the quality of services offered.
- Supervise, lead, and manage a team of 400 employees while developing their skills.
- Assess training needs and implement actions accordingly. Handle recruitment and terminations.
- Lead meetings.
- Manage press relations and coordinate public relations.
Qualifications
What we are looking for...
- Language skills: Fluent in Spanish and English (additional Catalan/French an advantage).
- Industry experience: Minimum 10 years’ experience in upscale or luxury hospitality, with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles.
- Lifestyle expertise: Strong background in lifestyle or design-driven hotels, with a deep understanding of brand positioning, guest experience, and market differentiation.
- Operational excellence: Demonstrated success in managing large-scale hotel operations (rooms, F&B, events), ensuring high service standards and profitability.
- Turnaround track record: Proven experience in revitalizing underperforming properties, introducing creative concepts and initiatives that drive topline revenue growth, guest satisfaction, and team engagement.
- Commercial acumen: Strong grasp of financial performance, revenue management, and strategic business planning.
- Leadership: Collaborative, innovative, and results-oriented, with the ability to inspire diverse teams and foster a culture of creativity and accountability.
- Stakeholder management: Experience working with ownership groups, asset managers, and corporate teams, balancing strategic alignment with local execution.
- Entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for innovation and guest-centric experiences.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to represent the property with confidence in both local and international markets.
