  • Bachelor Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction or a relevant field
  • Minimum of 8 years of related experience in the architecture, engineering, or construction industry with at least 5 years of specifications writing experience
  • Current Architectural license, Engineering license, or CSI certification
  • Previous experience on projects based in California
  • Advanced knowledge in discipline and focused areas including project delivery methods
  • Detailed understanding of Contracts and relationship to Division 00 & 01
  • Knowledge of building codes and construction techniques
  • Advanced technical knowledge
  • Experience with Engineering Specifications
  • Business acumen
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, teamwork, collaboration, and conflict resolution skills
  • Critical thinker
  • Highly analytical
  • Proficient in MS Office suite of programs
  • Ability to utilize electronic platforms for organizing project information and communicating with project teams
  • Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud and MS Lists
  • Familiarity with specification editing software; proficiency in e-SPECS for Revit
Responsibilities
  • Authoring Architectural sections for Project Manuals
  • Managing multiple projects and deadlines
  • Mentoring less experienced Specification Writers and Coordinators
  • Coordinating the Project Manual for all other disciplines
  • Reviewing and providing revisions to project-specific Keynotes
  • Reviewing in-progress drawings for technical specifications
  • Proposing continual development and improvement of master specifications
  • Maintaining awareness of industry reference standards and resources
  • Participating in progress meetings for assigned projects
  • Assisting project teams during CA Phase
  • Collaborating with peers to develop best practices
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with vendors
  • Supporting Sustainability goals
  • Acting as a mentor to others
  • Performing other duties as required
