Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required and/or completed an approved training course in phlebotomy
  • Certification as a phlebotomist by one of the following AMT, ASCP or ASPT
  • Valid Georgia driver's license
Responsibilities
  • Collects and transports blood samples from inpatients and outpatients
  • Monitor drug screen collections and document chain of custody
  • Review workload and resolve issues
  • Assists with clerical duties and provides specimen and report transport when necessary
  • Has completed an approved training course and has received a certificate from a recognized regulatory agency as a phlebotomist
