Requirements
- 5+ years experience selling to C-level executives or other senior leaders at tourism boards, DMOs or related entities
- Experience in the travel vertical sales and direct relationships with DMOs, attractions or their advertising agencies
- Understanding of online media industry and/or tourism industry (prefer both)
- Experience selling digital marketing products, data products, traveler insights or other data-related subscription products to tourism industry
- Have successfully sold annual contract values of at least $100,000
- Top performer with a history of beating your quota
- Outstanding presentation, communication and relationship building skills, both internally and externally
- Flexibility, open-mindedness and hustle
- Desire to work in a small, early-stage company and a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Salesforce, Gsuite and Office products
- An understanding of programmatic advertising
Responsibilities
- Apply a consultative selling approach to close deals with large tourism bureaus, DMOs and attractions
- Identify, develop and create opportunities through prospecting and utilizing existing relationships
- Build sales plans and RFP responses with cross functional teams
- Help grow, expand and close new business by working with clients in the tourism category
- Identify market needs and bring market feedback to commercial, product and engineering teams
- Lead compelling pitches and sales presentations with all levels of a customer's organization
- Build proposals, media plans and sales presentations and lead presentations with all levels of a client's organization
- Provide accurate and timely forecasts on your pipeline
- Conduct in person and virtual meetings and attend tourism industry conferences to represent Journera's offerings to DMOs
- Do whatever it takes to help set up and sustain new sales efforts for our start-up company
