Requirements
  • Doctoral degree (PhD or PharmD, or MD) in related field and experience conducting HEOR research (Related fields include: Health Services Research, Health Economics / Economics, Outcomes Research, or related areas) preferred
  • At least 3 years work experience in outcomes research, pharmaceutical industry-related health economics and outcomes research preferred
  • Experience in executing studies with highly technical data and communication of results internally and externally is required
  • Ability to understand, interpret, and make recommendations concerning the evolving US market
  • Previous experience executing research and managing projects independently
  • Previous experience in publishing scientific data
  • Knowledge in oncology preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of US payer environment and payer/policy maker evidence needs for access and reimbursement
  • Design of multiple Phase IIIB/IV studies with HEOR endpoints to support US region
  • Knowledge and experience with HER, claims, and novel Oncology databases for RWD research
  • In depth understanding of healthcare economics, epidemiology, quality of life and clinical research
Responsibilities
  • Support the development of an aligned strategy and evidence generation plan for Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) to demonstrate the value of Nivolumab for solid tumor indications in the US market
  • Support the US HEOR solid tumor team to integrate and align the HEOR strategy and initiatives through establishing and maintaining cross-functional collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders including, but not limited to, Value Access and Pricing (VAP), Commercial, Medical Affairs, Medical Capabilities, Publication
  • Communicate and align with other team members of the US HEOR team and the Worldwide HEOR team
  • Effectively support scientifically rigorous HEOR studies and manage projects from concept through full execution, including reporting the evidence at scientific congresses, in peer reviewed publications, and proactive/reactive BMS communication tools
  • Demonstrate the ability to make decisions on selecting external organizations and researchers with appropriate expertise for research collaborations
  • Serve as an internal HEOR expert helping develop product value propositions by incorporating HEOR evidence to support market access and brand objectives
  • Function as an internal HEOR expert providing critical input into the development of effective communication tools and programs for optimal market access
  • Demonstrate ability to support and advise internal BMS stakeholders
  • Provide strategic input into the build of a BMS network of community & academic Oncology practices for HEOR research
