Requirements
  • A Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy and an Illinois state license in good standing are required.
  • Experience or strong interest in pediatric occupational therapy, including activities of daily living, daily routines, play, and feeding, is required.
  • The ability to sit, stand, bend, and walk regularly and lift up to 45 pounds is required.
  • Adequate vision and hearing for written and verbal communication are required.
  • Comfort working in an environment with moderate noise levels is required.
Responsibilities
  • Design and administer treatment programs to increase independence in activities of daily living, routines, play, and feeding.
  • Make cross-referrals to other disciplines as needed.
  • Address executive functioning, attention, and fine and gross motor coordination.
  • Create home programs and coach families to implement them.
  • Collaborate with doctors, teachers, and pediatric specialists for coordinated care.
  • Maintain detailed progress notes and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Provide personalized, in-clinic therapy through evaluations and individualized treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with Speech-Language Pathologists, Physical Therapists, Board Certified Behavior Analysts, and mental health providers through interdisciplinary care and co-treatments.
