Requirements
  • A Certified Nursing Assistant certification in the state or states of practice is required.
  • A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance are required.
  • The candidate must be able to work independently on a day-to-day basis.
  • The candidate must be able to work closely with patients on a one-to-one level while receiving support from a patient care team.
  • The candidate must be able to collaborate with nurses, social workers, chaplains, volunteers, and aide leadership in a team environment.
Responsibilities
  • Provide resident care to assigned residents in accordance with resident assessments and care plans and as directed by nursing management.
  • Work with other licensed care staff to coordinate the proper types of care for residents.
  • Follow Company nursing policies and procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Partner with community organizations to improve quality of life and provide patient care.

Brighton Hospice is a hospice provider supporting people with life-limiting illnesses and their families. Interdisciplinary teams coordinate nursing, medical, social-work, spiritual, aide, and bereavement support. Care is delivered in homes and other residential settings with an emphasis on comfort, dignity, and quality of life. Brighton serves patients who have elected comfort-focused end-of-life care and works with caregivers and referring clinicians through an interdisciplinary model combining symptom management, psychosocial support, spiritual care, and bereavement services. Services are coordinated around an individualized plan of care and changing symptoms.
