Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering or a related engineering degree.
  • Proven experience in the design and implementation of automation control systems.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus, etc.).
  • Proficiency in PLC (Programable Logic Controller) ladder programing, (Rockwell, Simens, etc.) and HMI (Human Machine Interface) development.
  • Experience with SCADA systems, MES systems, ERP integration, and robotics.
  • Ability to read and interpret P&ID and electrical controls drawings.
  • Knowledge of common manufacturing methods
  • Experience with high-volume automated processes
  • Strong problem-solving ability
  • Ability to create clear, comprehensive, and concise documentation.
  • Ability to lead Root Cause Analysis investigations using industry-standard methodologies.
Responsibilities
  • Own the development of manufacturing processes that meet cost, ergonomics, quality, and cycle time targets.
  • Provide prompt support to the production lines in response to process or equipment needs.
  • Research, design, modify, and test manufacturing methods and equipment.
  • Develop, implement, and modify Programmable Logic Controller and Human Machine Interface programs to meet project specifications and production demand.
  • Configure and optimize communication protocols between different components of the automation systems.
  • Create and review electrical schematics, control panel layouts, and wiring diagrams.
  • Provide engineering guidance to technicians, trainers, and production leads.
  • Research, evaluate, and select manufacturing equipment, robotics, and automation technologies as needed to support production targets
  • Partner with Quality, R&D, Product, and Automation teams to ensure production outputs meet product and customer specifications.
  • Identifying opportunities to increase efficiency with automation.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including SOPs, process flowcharts, and technical manuals to facilitate efficient troubleshooting and maintenance.
