Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Prior work or internship experience supporting sales teams or working in a customer-facing position.
  • Experience with project planning and analysis.
  • Experience with team account budgets and forecasting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Articulate communication skills.
  • The ability to obtain or already hold a United States security clearance.
Responsibilities
  • Support the Vice President of Business Development and Business Development Directors to increase business and the efficiency of the Sales function.
  • Create and maintain records on Sales team operations using Salesforce.com, and conduct queries and analysis using Salesforce tools.
  • Accept and enter all customer purchase orders into the ERP system while maintaining a key performance indicator of greater than 80% accuracy, and keep customers updated on order confirmations, shipping timelines, and delivery updates.
  • Enter estimates through the ERP system to support customer equipment requirements.
  • Enforce Salesforce.com data integrity for forecasting.
  • Provide backup for other Sales Associates, support new-hire training when needed, share best practices with the group, and collaborate on cross-vertical efforts.
  • Support exportation of the Wave Relay system and its components in compliance with federal laws and regulations.
  • Support customers in business and sales capacities for expansion through direct sales, answer sales phone calls, attend trade shows, and communicate by email.
  • Act as a liaison between the Sales, Business Development, Operations, and Marketing functions.
  • Monitor the performance of the Sales and Business Development functions and design improvement models.
  • Prepare weekly sales meeting minutes and follow up on action items.
  • Perform administrative functions, including updating calendars and coordinating meetings.
  • Work closely with the Programs and Contracts team to support customers.
  • Support the Capture Management team in responding to proposals and provide analytical support for new and existing programs.
  • Lead the planning and preparation for trade shows and travel to trade shows to provide support.
