Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary New York Stock Exchange point of contact for a portfolio of listed companies and build trusted, long-term relationships with C-suite executives, investor relations leaders, and General Counsel.
  • Educate issuers on and promote utilization of the full suite of New York Stock Exchange benefits, including market intelligence, visibility, and events.
  • Monitor company news, earnings, and corporate developments to drive timely outreach and identify engagement opportunities.
  • Travel frequently within the region for in-person issuer visits and participate in meetings and events at the New York Stock Exchange.
  • Lead retention efforts for assigned accounts, identify at-risk companies, and coordinate cross-functional responses to issuer concerns.
  • Drive new listing opportunities, including initial public offerings, spin-offs, carve-outs, and transfers from competing exchanges, in partnership with the Capital Markets team.
  • Explain the New York Stock Exchange's competitive differentiation, including its market model, Designated Market Maker value, cost-of-capital advantages, and listed community.
  • Navigate complex conversations transparently and professionally while coordinating with internal teams to resolve inquiries.
  • Advise public companies on corporate governance, shareholder activism, environmental, social, and governance matters, passive investing, proxy advisory matters, and investor access.
  • Promote the New York Stock Exchange's market structure, services, and competitive advantages to existing and prospective issuers, tailoring the value proposition to each company's stage, sector, and priorities.
  • Connect issuers with relevant New York Stock Exchange resources, including Index Advisory, Investor Access, Board Services, media and visibility programs, and the New York Stock Exchange Institute.
  • Represent the New York Stock Exchange at industry conferences and partner events to expand its presence with current and prospective issuers.
  • Facilitate introductions to Designated Market Makers and educate issuers on the New York Stock Exchange market model and its impact on trading quality and liquidity.
  • Manage and support New York Stock Exchange corporate programs, including listing ceremonies, anniversary events, board and analyst meetings, investor days, roundtables, and regional events.
  • Partner with marketing, communications, and events teams to develop targeted engagement strategies for assigned accounts.
  • Collaborate with teams across Listings, Capital Markets, Marketing, Strategy and Execution, Research, Events, and Media and Communications to support strategic client outreach.
  • Establish regular interaction with New York Stock Exchange senior leadership and key industry stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions, contacts, and engagement activities in Salesforce.
  • Leverage artificial intelligence tools, FactSet, and internal data systems to streamline meeting preparation, research, and issuer communications.

ICE hits record 16.8M interest rate futures open interest in August, ADV up 14% YoY

NYSE parent ICE invests in tZERO, licenses 103 blockchain patents for tokenised securities platform

Intercontinental Exchange, parent of the New York Stock Exchange, has signed agreements with tZERO to build infrastructure for a tokenised securities platform. tZERO will serve as design partner for digital transfer-agent and broker-dealer systems supporting on-chain settlement. ICE will invest in tZERO's latest funding round and license its blockchain patent portfolio, which spans 23 patent families and 103 patents covering token lifecycles, compliance-aware transfer logic, and smart contract frameworks. tZERO is expected to seek approval as a digital transfer agent on ICE's NYSE-affiliated Digital Trading Platform. The companies will also evaluate using tZERO's tokenised assets for collateral management across ICE's clearing houses. The partnership marks tZERO's deepest tie to a major exchange operator. No timeline for regulatory approval or platform launch was disclosed.

Pershing Square invests in Intercontinental Exchange after tracking firm for nearly a decade

Entrepreneur bought near-bankrupt firm from Buffett for $1,000, built it into $85B giant

Jeffrey Sprecher, founder and CEO of Intercontinental Exchange, purchased a failing company from Warren Buffett's MidAmerican Energy for $1,000 in 1997, despite Buffett having invested $35 million in it. Sprecher, who had no Wall Street experience, used it to build what would become Intercontinental Exchange. Starting in 2000 with nine employees in Atlanta, Sprecher lived in a 500-square-foot studio flat and drove a used car whilst building the business. He handled menial tasks like taking out rubbish and answering phones. Today, Intercontinental Exchange has a market capitalisation of $85 billion and employs over 12,000 people. The company has owned the New York Stock Exchange for more than a decade. Sprecher's net worth now stands at $1.2 billion.
