Requirements
  • At least 7 years of progressive procurement experience in manufacturing.
  • A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Experience owning strategic or high-risk supplies, including contract manufacturers, printed circuit board assembly manufacturers, and critical component suppliers, and managing escalation paths for supply disruptions.
  • Global supply chain experience, including international logistics and customs, tariffs, and Harmonized Tariff Schedule codes.
  • Experience with supplier negotiations, cost reduction initiatives, and risk mitigation.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements including FDA 21 CFR Part 820, ISO 13485, and the Medical Device Single Audit Program.
  • Ability to maintain accurate reporting, data updates, and follow-up when other departments are working toward standardized processes.
  • Strong cross-functional business acumen and understanding of how organizational departments work together.
  • Ability to collaborate with Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Research and Development during new product development to lead supply readiness for new product introductions or product changes.
  • Experience overseeing excess and obsolete inventory, reducing waste, optimizing working capital, and coordinating disposition with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organization skills and ability to reprioritize or pivot.
Responsibilities
  • Lead procurement for assigned domestic and global product lines with full ownership of supplier relationships.
  • Influence cross-functional decisions and work directly with Operations, Quality, Engineering, Finance, and Customer Service.
  • Provide guidance to Buyers and junior team members on procurement processes, reporting, and supplier management to support consistent execution and professional development.
  • Drive process improvements, standard operating procedure updates, and item master governance while ensuring data integrity and compliance.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers on end-of-life product planning to ensure smooth product transitions.
  • Build supply chain visibility and insights using Excel pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, and Power BI.
  • Support audit readiness by maintaining quality-first documentation.
  • Manage manual reporting, dashboards, data updates, and follow-up, including coordination with contract suppliers such as printed circuit board assembly manufacturers.
