About the role
The Vice President of eCommerce Product will drive the strategic direction and execution of ShipStation’s (and other Ship-X brands) product initiatives. The VP of Product will be responsible for the overall vision, strategy, and roadmap of our eCommerce product portfolio, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs. This is a pivotal role requiring collaboration across multiple departments, leadership in product innovation, and a deep understanding of the eCommerce and shipping landscape.
About the team
The Product team is responsible for helping shape the future of our brands. We advocate on behalf of our customer’s problems to create a shared roadmap of planned future changes and work collaboratively with partners in Engineering and Design to bring these features to life.
This is a hybrid role (in office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays), based in Austin. Approx. 20% travel.
What will you be doing?
- Product lifecycle management from concept to launch of product(s) across all brands.
- Drive innovative ideas, solutions and products through leadership and decisive action.
- People leader with demonstrated success in leading and mentoring teams and future leaders.
- Understand the user experience and design.
What are we looking for?
- 10+ years of product management experience, 8+ years building Saas based products, with 5+ years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience driving product strategy and execution in a high-growth SaaS or eCommerce environment.
- Strong track record of leading cross-functional teams and delivering successful products to market.
- Deep understanding of eCommerce, shipping, logistics, or related industries.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills with a focus on data-driven product management.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and inspire across all levels of the organization.
- Experience working with agile development methodologies.
- A customer-first mindset with a passion for solving complex problems.
What will make you stand out?
- Master’s degree in Business (or in progress to achieve a master’s degree)
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills in a fast-changing environment
The Tech
- Strong in MS Excel and can create pivot tables and use data to construct analysis for management.
- Experience in Tableau or other data driven applications for daily monitoring of services.
