Responsibilities
  • Assists the Quality Department manager to enhance the technical and financial performance of the department. Lead and control various sanitation parameters and implement corrective actions.
  • Participates in the evaluation of adjustments of the sanitation processes through analyzation and evaluation of sanitation efficiency data to determine the negative or positive net effect, while also maintaining conformance with standards, specifications and regulatory requirements, once approved by QA Manager.
  • Responsible for coordinating cleaning inspections and pre-op inspections with department managers to ensure desired outcomes.
  • Responsible for checking time, temperature, flow, conductivity, titrations and other related data to ensure CIP process is in compliance.
  • Responsible for ordering chemicals and monitoring and optimizing chemical inventory.
  • Responsible for monitoring swab results and master sanitation schedules to specification
  • Responsible for maintaining all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), all safety, and all regulatory requirements. Take necessary action if performance or adherence are not to standard.
  • Responsible for a variety of reports to include, but not limited to, periodic productivity and efficiency, chemical usage and spend, and training.
  • Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
  • Schedules staff and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of daily job assignments.
  • Responsible for the review and approval of the time records of all staff assigned. Will be required to explain variances in hours worked, productivity and any other function responsible for.
  • Work with all departments to ensure proper adherence to GMP, GSP, FSSC practices, and QC policies and procedures, and proper maintenance of equipment. Keep department leaders informed on sanitation KPIs (CIP, clean-up, manual cleaning follow-up, valves, etc)
  • Collects and provides any data necessary for budget creation, implementation and management.
  • Cooperates with other management in establishing and communicating company policies, operating procedures and goals.
  • Establish good relationship and communication with maintenance and site maintenance.
  • Executes quality assurance programs to prevent or eliminate defects in new or existing products. Follows food safety policies.
  • Ensures effective employee relations by supporting and maintaining a safe and positive work environment. Analyzes and assists in resolving work and/or employee issues through problem resolution.
  • Travel and / or extended or off work hours may be required.

Danone Agrees to Sell Swedish Probiotic Brand ProViva to Lactalis

Danone has entered into an agreement to sell its Swedish probiotic fruit juices brand, ProViva, to the French dairy group Lactalis. This transaction involves the sale of the Österlenmejeriet factory located in Lunnarp, Skåne County, in southeastern Sweden. The factory is Danone's only facility in Sweden and has previously received a Skr140m (approximately $16.9m) investment in 2020.
