Requirements
  • Enrollment in a Bachelor’s Program
  • Eligible candidates must be a rising senior undergraduate student who graduates in Winter 2026 or Spring/Summer 2027
  • Must have received the COVID-19 Vaccine
  • All roles require on-site presence (on-site presence and commutable distance to NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital); NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital will not reimburse travel expenses
Responsibilities
  • Channel top-notch reporting and data analysis skills on the financial planning team
  • Help with business plan monitoring related to clinical service line growth and strategic initiatives for NewYork-Presbyterian
  • Understand the clinical aspects to forecasting the financial impact of new business to the hospital
  • Perform key financial analysis to inform decision makers about the economic viability of clinical programs
  • Work as a multi-disciplinary group to recognize trends
  • Interact with multiple stakeholders across the organization and gain insight into hospital finance and its interdependence with other key operational areas and functions
  • Expose interns to management and leadership across all campuses of NewYork-Presbyterian
Desired Qualifications
  • Majoring in Accounting, Health/Hospital Administration, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Business Administration, Public Health
  • Genuine interest in finance and the business of healthcare
  • Completion of relevant accounting, healthcare industry, and business-related courses
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience with Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Exceptional communication, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Highly inquisitive

  • Good judgment and discretion when working with confidential information
