Responsibilities
  • Assist the General Manager in overseeing and managing the daily operations of the restaurant.
  • Assist in hiring and training staff.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction and resolve conflicts and complaints as they arise.
  • Contribute to the positive company culture and cultivate regular customers.
  • Communicate with Human Resources and accounting regarding invoicing and payroll.
  • Double-check incoming orders.
  • Maintain knowledge of the food menu and table numbers.
  • Collect payments in cash or by credit card.
  • Issue refunds and price adjustments.
  • Manage menus in-house and through third-party delivery applications, including DoorDash, Uber Eats, Caviar, Postmates, and Grubhub.
  • Manage scheduling and adjust schedules when needed.
  • Discipline and terminate employees in accordance with restaurant policy.
  • Perform daily health inspections and oversee food handling.
  • Conduct frequent quality-control checks on food.
  • Ensure compliance with capacity and liquor regulations.
  • Manage liquor, beer, and wine inventory and work with the back of house on food and supply purchases.
  • Manage swag inventory and communicate order needs with the brand manager.
  • Conduct daily restaurant and equipment checks for health, safety, food handling, and hygiene compliance.
  • Schedule routine maintenance and equipment service and call in repairs as needed.
  • Take ownership of tasks and see them through from start to finish.
