  • Broader academic affiliations expand coverage across labor, health, behavioral, and damages cases.
  • Its 23 offices and 600-plus professionals support cross-border antitrust and valuation mandates.

What critics are saying

  • Rival consulting firms can recruit the same academic experts and dilute Compass Lexecon's edge.
  • The firm's brand now depends heavily on a few star academics and their availability.
  • Heavy focus on Big Tech matters leaves revenue exposed to crowded, price-sensitive regulation work.

What makes Compass Lexecon unique

  • Compass Lexecon is strengthening AI and digital-platform expertise through Dennis Zhang’s affiliation.
  • Its bench now spans antitrust, advertising, algorithmic bias, and generative AI.
  • The firm pairs academic credibility with regulator-facing experience from experts like Anja Lambrecht.
