Requirements
  • Five (5) to ten (10) years of experience delivering clinical consultant services to clients, preferably in a health care consulting or brokerage environment, workers’ compensation or disability carrier or a provider system or equivalent experience preferred
  • Active RN, BSN with demonstrated applied work experience combining healthcare and business knowledge to workers’ compensation, occupational health & safety management and/or healthcare quality and operations management
  • Advanced knowledge of workers’ compensation/risk management, disability, FMLA, population health, medical and pharmacy utilization and cost trends, and innovative approaches/solutions to reduce costs, improve health outcomes
  • Knowledge of the self-insured employee benefits marketplace, trends and innovations with the ability to understand policies and contracts, as they apply to policy conditions
  • Demonstrated applied work experience combining healthcare and business knowledge to population health management, occupational health & safety management and/or healthcare quality and operations management
  • Travel requirements: Approximately 20% based on client need
  • Legal work authorization to work in the U.S. on a permanent and ongoing basis without the need for sponsorship now or in the future
  • Preferred but not required: MBA, MPH or MHA is highly desirable
  • Certified Disability Management Specialist (CDMS), Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN), or Certified Rehab Registered Nurse (CRRN) preferred
  • Employee benefits consulting experience is preferable
Responsibilities
  • Assess existing processes within employers’ infrastructures, providing insights on how employee health impacts various business lines and helps target specific organizational goals
  • Analyze data to deliver integrated trend reports
  • Collaborate with the Chief Medical Officer and Clinical Director to develop strategies that control healthcare costs and improve health outcomes, and maximize employee productivity
  • Create and implement clinical and safety strategies, serve as the principal clinical resource for client engagements, and manage relationships with payors, providers, and employers
  • Participate in Requests for Proposal, provide consulting for worksite clinic and clinician projects
  • Assist in training internal stakeholders on integrated disability absence, workplace injury and safety topics as it relates to population health
  • Represent employer collectives, liaise between employers and carriers to streamline disability and workers’ compensation processes
  • Educate client stakeholders on leave management and return to work strategies
  • Stay current on industry innovations, contribute to white papers and present at industry conferences
  • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the success of our clients and their employees
Desired Qualifications
