Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • At least five years of automotive sales account management experience is required.
  • Financial, analytical, negotiation, communication, and presentation skills are required.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required is required.
  • Ability to be on call as needed to support meetings outside regular hours is required.
Responsibilities
  • Manage customer financials, including quoting customers, obtaining purchase and tool orders, addressing extraordinary costs, and obtaining customer approval for recovery throughout the program or project life cycle using internal and customer systems.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with original equipment manufacturer purchasing, engineering, and program teams as the primary commercial interface with original equipment manufacturer customers.
  • Participate in customer program and project team meetings and report all financial matters to relevant functional groups.
  • Support the development of multi-year original equipment manufacturer business acquisition strategies aligned to vehicle platforms, model cycles, and sourcing timelines.
  • Achieve profit objectives consistent with the NABU budget.
  • Manage pricing using Sumitomo's internal systems.
  • Schedule and champion regular open-issues meetings with customers and support customer program team meetings.
  • Maintain knowledge of Sumitomo's products and a general understanding of Sumitomo's manufacturing.
  • Assist the Sales team in developing new or improved processes and procedures.
Desired Qualifications
  • Wire harness commercial experience with original equipment manufacturer customers is preferred.
