Requirements
  • One to two years of experience as a soccer coach.
  • Current CPR certification through the American Red Cross.
  • A valid driver’s license must be maintained.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize.
  • Experience working and communicating with diverse groups of people.
  • Ability to act professionally and keep students’ records confidential.
  • Ability to make decisions and handle conflicts.
  • Problem-solving skills and creativity.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, assist athletes of various weights and heights, stand for long periods, walk long distances, carry training equipment and coolers, bend at the hips and knees, and work in noisy and crowded environments.
Responsibilities
  • Help coordinate and supervise the Boys JV Soccer program.
  • Ensure that school and league policies, rules, and regulations regarding athletic activities and athletes are followed.
  • Work with the Head Coach and Athletic Department to plan and organize practice and game schedules.
  • Maintain a safe environment for student athletes.
  • Help supervise student athletes at home and away games and ensure appropriate behavior.
  • Ensure that student athletes follow training rules, class and grade requirements, and behavior rules on the court, during conditioning, and in the locker room.
  • Interact thoughtfully and courteously with students, staff, parents, and officials, and resolve conflicts professionally.
  • Represent the school professionally in community interactions.
  • Clean, store, and maintain athletic equipment and uniforms.
  • Recommend purchases of uniforms, equipment, and supplies, and manage inventory.
  • Maintain necessary records and complete Paycom timecards within specified timeframes.
  • Maintain required certifications and training hours.
  • Attend practices and games regularly and punctually.
  • Obtain advance approval from the Athletic Director for team-related expenditures.
  • Perform other assigned duties.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
