Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, physics, or related. Equivalent experience also accepted.
  • Minimum 5+ years of industry experience in mechanical engineering
  • Proficient with CAD (SolidWorks / Onshape), including tolerancing, assemblies
  • Design for Manufacturing experience, including design for conventional machining and additive manufacturing
  • Experience with rapid prototyping and additive manufacturing
  • Knowledge of thermal, electrical, and mechanical properties for a range of metal and materials
  • Tolerance analysis and understanding of GD&T, advanced knowledge of mechanical drawings
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate short-run production of custom electromechanical devices (1-20 units)
  • Write assembly and design documentation for electromechanical systems
  • Identifying, troubleshooting, and correcting system performance issues that arise from vendors and assembly
  • Electromechanical assembly design and analysis
  • Revise one-off custom hardware for production
  • Manage and coordinate suppliers and vendors, including setting up tracking systems for parts and suppliers (PLM/ERP systems.)
  • Manufacturing tracking process creation and execution
