- High school diploma or equivalent
- AWS CWI
- ASNT Level II, preferred
- ICC certification, preferred
- Steel Inspector duties as assigned including, but not limited to:
- Tasks vary according to job assignments and may include inspections of various structural elements in buildings as in anchor bolts, structural steel bolting, steel decking, etc. Other duties may be assigned. Regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
- Various steel related inspections including, but not limited to: mag-particle, ultrasonic radiation, weld inspections, bolt inspections, steel observations, fire proofing and caulking and non-destructive testing of welds, etc.
- Writing reports to coordinate with the construction material testing done in the field.
- Driving to and from job sites to collect samples or perform tests and return them to the appropriate place at the Alpha Testing office.
