  • Five to eight years of experience in AI/ML solution design, technical consulting, or architecture-focused roles.
  • Experience taking AI projects from idea through pilot to production, not just strategy.
  • Ability to design solutions that span on-premises and cloud environments; comfortable with cloud platforms.
  • Strong communication skills capable of explaining technical trade-offs to non-developers and documenting work that will be referenced later.
  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience is required for the role; a master's degree or comparable experience is considered a plus.
  • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguity and propose paths forward in building new capabilities.
Responsibilities
  • Define AI strategy alongside senior leadership and connect institutional goals to practical technical roadmaps.
  • Design solution architectures and build or deploy proofs-of-concept systems that validate feasibility; leverage existing products when suitable.
  • Translate business needs into requirements and partner with other teams to deploy solutions.
  • Collaborate with security and compliance teams to navigate privacy, data protection, and responsible use, including identifying bias and ensuring ethical standards.
  • Develop the foundation for scalable AI by creating reference architectures, reusable patterns, integration standards, and operational playbooks.
  • Share learnings through workshops, training sessions, and community events to promote AI adoption across campus.
