Responsibilities
  • Operate and control primary power generation and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, including boilers, turbines, generators, reactors, chillers, and cooling towers, using control boards and computers.
  • Monitor facility equipment, meters, gauges, and charts at regular intervals to regulate power flow, adjust fluid levels, and detect operational problems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs, such as tightening leaking glands and pipe joints, to prevent equipment deterioration or failure.
  • Record and compile operational data in logs, forms, and reports, and document equipment malfunctions to ensure accurate tracking of plant status.
  • Respond to power outages and emergencies by handling outage calls, summoning necessary personnel, and participating in mandatory meetings, training, and special projects.
