Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Eight years of increasingly responsible experience are required, including two years at the Senior Programmer Analyst or Senior Systems Analyst level.
  • Experience leading information technology projects from inception through planning, execution, implementation, rollout, and closeout is required, including scope, schedule, budget, and stakeholder communications.
  • A valid California Class C Driver's License or equivalent license allowing driving during employment is required at the time of application.
Responsibilities
  • Manage projects from planning through implementation and closeout.
  • Develop project proposals, budgets, schedules, and status reports.
  • Apply cost-benefit analysis and performance metrics to measure project success.
  • Lead cross-functional teams of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, consultants, vendors, and external agencies.
  • Negotiate agreements and resolve complex technical and business issues.
  • Identify key project decisions and provide recommendations to management.
  • Support project scoping, planning, and strategic technology initiatives.
  • Visit facilities and stakeholder locations throughout Metropolitan's service area as required by project assignments.
Desired Qualifications
  • Project Management Professional certification.
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional, Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional, or equivalent cybersecurity certification.
