Responsibilities
  • Construct, assemble and install components including tanks, modules, pipe supports, steel structure and pressure vessels following blueprints, drawings, and specifications with high precision
  • Perform welding tasks using FCAW, GMAW and SMAW based on project requirements and material specifications
  • Weld plate and structural components in sequence to eliminate shrinkage and distortion
  • Follow quality control systems and techniques
  • Interpret engineering and detailed fabrication drawings, specifications and standards to complete tasks accurately
  • Maintain and care for welding equipment, tools, and machinery, ensuring they are in proper working condition
  • Collaborate with other team members, including engineers, QA/QC inspectors, and construction management team, to achieve project goals and timelines
  • Keep detailed records of work performed including Daily weld logs, Consumable logs, Workpacks and Weld maps
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices to enhance skills and knowledge
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience working on Tanks and Pressure Vessels
  • Experience with piping systems and pipe supports
  • Experience working with structural steel and plate welding in industrial settings
  • Experience in ASME/API codes and standards
  • Experience with non-destructive testing methods such as MPI, UT, RT
  • Welding certifications (CWB, ASME IX, API 1104)
  • Safety certifications beyond minimum requirements
  • Experience in rigorous QA/QC environments
  • Ability to read and interpret isometrics and P&ID diagrams
  • Knowledge of welding metallurgy and heat treatment
