Accommodations Assistant

Vision for the Role:  The Accommodations Assistant plays a vital role in creating a distraction-free environment for guests by maintaining spaces that help facilitate ministry experiences. This individual provides general help and assistance for a variety of manual labor projects, setup tasks, facility cleanup, and guest hospitality that supports the daily operations and activities of camp.

The Role:

• Assist in creating a distraction-free environment for campers and guests by cleaning restrooms, vacuuming, setting up meeting rooms, hauling trash, washing windows, and preparing guest lodging in a detail-oriented manner. 
• Follow all safety procedures and directions provided by supervisors.
• Maintain a positive and cooperative attitude, contributing to a Christ-centered team environment.
• Represent Hume Christian Camps’ values and mission through conduct, attitude, and service.

Our Ideal Candidate:

• No previous experience or specific skills required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age at start of employment to live in staff housing; or must be a High School graduate who is a dependent resident of Hume in staff housing.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Willingness to perform physical tasks and work outdoors or indoors as needed.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work under supervision.
• Must agree with and support Hume Christian Camps’ Statement of Faith.
• Must have a personal commitment to Jesus Christ and a desire to share the Gospel through word and deed.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, frequently lift 25 pounds, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday.
• Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the functions of the job.
• Live and work in extreme weather conditions, at high altitude, and in small living quarters.

Salary: $16.90 Hourly
