Managing Director

Job Description

We are looking for a Managing Director with a strong entrepreneurial vision to lead DPO-ONE through its next phase of growth.

You will take overall responsibility for an innovative SaaS company with significant international growth potential. Your focus will be on leading the organization from the startup phase into a scale-up, with particular emphasis on accelerating sales growth, strengthening market positioning, and driving further product development.

This is more than a traditional executive position. It is a Management Buy-In opportunity, enabling the successful Managing Director to invest in the business, become a co-owner, and directly participate in the long-term value created through the company’s growth.

Your Responsibilities

Strategic Growth

• Develop and implement an ambitious growth strategy to position DPO-ONE globally as a leading privacy compliance solution.
• Take overall responsibility for translating the company’s vision into sustainable commercial growth.

Sales & Marketing

• Lead efforts to enter new markets, acquire customers, and deepen existing relationships.
• Provide direction to the sales and marketing teams.
• Drive commercial performance and create scalable routes to market.

Product Development

• Drive innovation and work closely with the development team to continuously improve and adapt the SaaS solution to global market needs.

International Leadership

• Expand DPO-ONE internationally and develop partnerships across different markets and sectors.
• Build the organizational and commercial foundations required to move successfully from startup to scale-up.

Financial Management

• Ensure a sound financial foundation through effective budget management and achievement of agreed business goals.
• Take ownership of company-level performance and sustainable growth.

Qualifications

We are looking for an entrepreneurial Managing Director who combines strategic vision with strong commercial execution.

You bring:

• Demonstrable experience successfully leading companies through a scale-up journey.
• A proven track record in driving sales growth and developing profitable products.
• An entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to take calculated risks and embrace innovation.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Dutch and Portuguese are considered advantages.
• Affinity with privacy legislation and compliance is a plus.

Management Buy-In & Co-Ownership

This opportunity includes a Management Buy-In, allowing you to become a co-owner of DPO-ONE.

The equity stake investment ranges from €40,000 to €80,000, with the final investment and ownership structure to be discussed with the current co-owners.

This structure gives the Managing Director the opportunity to align their entrepreneurial vision and leadership directly with the long-term success and value creation of the company.

Compensation

• Monthly management fee, based on seniority.
• Performance-related bonus tied to business results and the option plan.
• Equity participation through the Management Buy-In structure.
