Responsibilities
  • Attain or exceed sales and gross margin rate budgets for the sales territory and implement district market plans to support district sales and marketing objectives.
  • Manage typically seven to ten Sales Representatives and/or Sales Trainees.
  • Manage a minimum annual budget of $7 million.
  • Develop business plans supporting the assigned specialty market within the assigned territory.
  • Work with appropriate sales employees to develop tactical plans implementing the district plan.
  • Develop assigned sales territory business plans with suppliers identified as strategic.
  • Implement the sales management process using sales representative business plans, pre-call plans, and post-call coaching debriefs.
  • Establish annual sales and gross margin rates for applicable market sales representatives or other sales employees within the district.
  • Evaluate industry and business trends for potential impact on the district.
  • Identify key business opportunities and potential threats within the assigned sales territory.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and suppliers so the assigned sales territory is properly positioned within the marketplace.
  • Provide guidance and support in retaining profitable business.
  • Ensure the assigned sales territory implements effective recruiting, staffing, employee development, performance management, and succession planning programs.
  • Ensure a consistent focus on delivering high-quality customer service.
  • Assist in developing and implementing appropriate tools and training programs within the assigned sales territory to support applicable specialty business growth.
  • Use a personal vehicle for business purposes.

  • A four-year degree is preferred.

Reckelhoff has joined the company as Vice President - Human Resources.
