The University of Miami, School of Nursing and Health Studies, has a great opportunity for a Data Analyst 2 ECHO Program to work in Miami, Florida.

TheDataAnalyst 2 (A)performs a variety of dataanalysesusing various techniques.The DataAnalyst 2 (A) assists in developing or implementing systems to capture business operation information.The Data Analyst 2 (A)analyzesdata to ensuretheaccuracyofreported information and generatedreports andidentifiesopportunities to enhance data collection and analysis.The incumbentworks collaboratively with other internal areas and may guide less experienced data analysts.
Performs data analysis using various techniques,e.g.statistical analysis, explanatory and predictive modeling,anddata mining.
Determinesbest practices and recommends actionable insights for the current business operations.
Performs ad-hoc analyses and reporting, to aid management in the decision-making process. May build dashboards or reporting systems for end usersabouttheassigned project(s).
Provides business data interpretation, such asidentifyingtrends or patterns of data sets.
Assistsin the dissemination and reportingofdata, which may include presentations, workshops, and related activities.
Analyzes data to ensure accuracy andreportsany issues to management.Identifiesopportunities to enhance data collection and analysis.
Assistsin developing or implementing systems to capture business operation information.
Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field
Certification and Licensing:
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
Knowledge,Skillsand Attitudes:
Ability to exercise sound judgment in making critical decisions.
Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.
Ability to analyze,organizeand prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment.

Proficiencyin computer software (i.e.Microsoft Office)
Department Specific Functions
Servethe ECHOdata management lead toaccomplishdata management goals forthe clinical research study--NIH Environmental influences on Child Health Outcomes(ECHO).
Department Specific Qualifications
Minimum 1-3 years of hands-on experience in officesettingresponsible for quality of data. Preferexperience with research or clinical data.Prefer experience with or interest in learning applications that capture,tabulate, facilitatedata quality control.
Knowledge,Skillsand Attitudes:
Self-motivated toaccomplishweekly work goals
Keen eye for details, inconsistencies,and enjoyresolving data problems
Proficient with MS Excel especially functions
Interestinlearningsoftware applications to further develop skills needed on project
Ability to prioritize urgent requests to complete same day as needed
