MS or PhD in EE or CS areas; MBAs + BS/MS in EE/CS
Well understanding about ML/DL technologies, and its recent trends
Good understanding about semiconductor device design and manufacturing process
Research experience in use of AI/ML in semiconductor process and design would be preferred
Previous experience in interviewing technical experts would be preferred
Not for students interested in coding

Responsibilities

Reading & summarizing published scientific literatures in use of AI/ML for semiconductor device design and semiconductor manufacturing process
Following news and social media threads on AI/ML/DL & semiconductor design and manufacturing related news on daily basis
Interviewing experts in the fields (up to 12)
Attending seminars, webinars, conferences, symposium etc.
Collaborating with internal experts to understand the needs from Samsung
Writing a technical paper on current status of the use of AI/ML/DL in semiconductor manufacturing and device design, and future trends
Complete other responsibilities as assigned

What You’ll Learn

Project: Understanding current status of the use of AI/ML/DL in semiconductor manufacturing, design and its future trends.
Skills You’ll Learn:
- Theoretical understanding of semiconductor device design pipeline
- Theoretical understanding of semiconductor manufacturing process, characterization and packing
- Building interview skills
- Understanding open innovation works including competitive analyses, collaboration, partnerships, ecosystem development etc.
- Summarizing and writing technical papers.

What You’ll Do

Reading & summarizing published scientific literatures in use of AI/ML for semiconductor device design and semiconductor manufacturing process; it includes peer-reviewed and non-peer reviewed papers (eg. Arxiv) in these areas.
Following news and social media threads on AI/ML/DL & semiconductor design and manufacturing related news on daily basis.
Interviewing experts in the fields (up to 12).
Attending seminars, webinars, conferences, symposium etc.
Collaborating with internal experts to understand the needs from Samsung.
Writing a technical paper on current status of the use of AI/ML/DL in semiconductor manufacturing and device design, and future trends
Complete other responsibilities as assigned.

Location: Hybrid, working onsite at our San Jose, CA headquarters 3 days per week with the flexibility to work remotely the remainder of your time

What You Bring

MS or PhD in EE or CS areas; MBAs + BS/MS in EE/CS
Well understanding about ML/DL technologies, and its recent trends
Good understanding about semiconductor device design and manufacturing process
Research experience in use of AI/ML in semiconductor process and design would be preferred
Previous experience in interviewing technical experts would be preferred.
This position is not for students interested in coding.
