Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience as an automotive technician or mechanic.
  • ASE certifications are preferred, or the candidate should have a plan to achieve them.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair multiple makes and models of vehicles.
  • Ability to meet or exceed hourly goals.
  • Aptitude for learning additional skills and processes.
  • Professional appearance and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to occasionally lift or move over 100 pounds.
  • Ability to work with tools on vehicles lifted above the candidate’s head.
  • Ability to work in tight spaces as required by the repair.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to use hand tools efficiently.
  • Ability to walk and stand for the majority of the workday.
  • Ability to drive vehicles with manual transmissions.
  • Ability to efficiently navigate a computer.
Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and fix vehicles using automotive knowledge and technical skills.
  • Build experience as an automotive mechanic across a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles.
  • Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections.
  • Work as part of a team to troubleshoot guest concerns quickly and effectively.
  • Follow and promote standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization.
  • Work closely with the service department to communicate concerns effectively.
  • Work with other technicians to solve problems, meet deadlines, and deliver results.
