Requirements
  • Associate’s degree in HR or a related field (experience or certifications may substitute)
  • 2+ years of experience in benefits administration
  • Strong knowledge of benefits laws and regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, data analysis, and reporting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer service orientation and attention to detail
Responsibilities
  • Administer and support all employee benefit plans, including health insurance, 401(k), HSA/FSA, life insurance, disability, and wellness programs
  • Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions related to benefits, resolving issues and ensuring a high level of customer service
  • Manage benefits enrollment and life event changes through the HRIS or benefits administration platform
  • Coordinate with vendors and brokers to ensure accurate plan information, timely processing, and issue resolution
  • Maintain accurate benefits records and support audits or reporting requirements
  • Process and reconcile benefit-related invoices to ensure accuracy and timely payment
  • Assist with annual open enrollment, including employee communications, system setup, and enrollment tracking
  • Assist with leave of absence requests (FMLA, ADA, Paid Leave, etc.) and partner with employees and managers to ensure compliance
  • Stay up to date on federal and state regulations affecting employee benefits and recommend updates to policies and procedures as needed
