Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field (Supply Chain or Business) or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of related experience in a power generation OEM, Nuclear, or manufacturing/fabricating environment
  • Strong knowledge in manufacturing principals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with ERP requisition process and procurement systems
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a high-volume environment
  • Ability to problem solve quickly and efficiently
  • Prioritizes and ensures safety of oneself and others
Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent and timely customer service to internal customers in fulfilling the procurement process
  • Develop and maintain relationships with reliable suppliers
  • Purchase materials at the lowest long-term cost
  • Expedite materials when required
  • Negotiate the lowest possible long-term cost through competitive bidding
  • Work closely with project teams and engineering
  • Lead communication with construction companies and suppliers
  • Provide accurate production materials standard costs
  • Identify and develop new suppliers
  • Maintain purchasing databases and reporting
