Requirements
  • Student pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related Engineering field with relevant Autonomy or Robotics research experience
  • 3.0 GPA or higher
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of various degrees of information
Responsibilities
  • Develop control systems using ROS 2, Parker IQAN or other relevant software development kits
  • Prepare and perform tests in simulated environments such as Gazebo
  • Develop finite state machines and behavior trees
  • Design electrical schematics and build prototype harnesses
  • Prepare concepts using CREO or other CAD software
  • Perform system and subsystem level testing
Desired Qualifications
  • Graduate student with research focusing on computer vision, autonomy, mechatronics, computer science or robotic theory
  • Enjoys hands on work environment using electromechanical diagnostics skillset
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while prioritizing workload
  • Flexible and adaptable to working under tight deadlines and/or changing needs
  • Experience working with Controller Area Network (CAN) and the J1939 protocol
  • Experience working with various ethernet protocols
