Requirements
  • Advanced working knowledge of systems administration, network administration, database management concepts, enterprise infrastructure, and computer science principles.

  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices, patch management, access controls, system hardening, and data protection.
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required, or ten years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
  • At least six years of hands-on experience managing Windows Servers, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft 365, storage area networks, routers, switches, enterprise backup systems, and related infrastructure.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team using effective interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to lead technical initiatives, document processes, and mentor junior team members.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and support requests.
  • The ability to remain stationary, standing and/or seated, for extended periods.
  • The ability to spend extended periods viewing computer monitors.
  • Availability to work Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure the uptime, performance, reliability, and resource availability of computers, servers, network systems, and other information technology infrastructure.
  • Lead the administration, maintenance, monitoring, and optimization of Windows Server environments, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, enterprise storage, backup systems, and related infrastructure.
  • Serve as a senior escalation point for complex technical issues involving servers, networks, databases, endpoints, cloud services, backup systems, and enterprise applications.
  • Analyze, evaluate, recommend, and implement personal computing products, devices, systems, software, and infrastructure solutions for affordability, compatibility, expandability, security, and ease of use and support.
  • Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain personal computer systems, server software, and enterprise platforms to optimize performance and integration with client/server applications and information-communications networks.
  • Monitor, analyze, and improve wide area network and local area network performance, availability, and security.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve advanced network, server, storage, backup, and systems issues.
  • Plan and perform upgrades to network hardware, server infrastructure, software platforms, telecommunications equipment, and related enterprise systems.
  • Ensure the quality, accuracy, integrity, and security of computers, devices, systems, and data.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain system administration standards, procedures, documentation, and best practices.
  • Support system hardening, patch management, access controls, backup validation, disaster recovery planning, and security compliance activities.
  • Analyze functionality and risks for mobile computing devices, including policies and approaches for managing security, access, and data backup in bring-your-own-device environments.
  • Match organizational information technology resources with current and future operational demand.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations on infrastructure improvements, lifecycle management, capacity planning, and technology modernization.
  • Resolve complex technical and operational issues independently under limited supervision and with sound judgment.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, mentoring, and technical direction to junior team members and support staff.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams to support business operations and project delivery.
