Requirements
  • Nursing Assistant-Certified credential from the State of Washington is required.
  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Six months of experience involving customer service in a healthcare setting, six months of experience involving direct patient care, or equivalent education and experience is required.
  • A valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification for healthcare providers is required upon hire.
Responsibilities
  • Provide activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, feeding assistance, snacks, and repositioning, and document the care provided in patient charts.
  • Assist with patient mobility needs, including ambulation, transfers to stretchers, surgical beds, wheelchairs, and chairs, and escort discharged patients to vehicles.
  • Take and document vital signs when delegated by a registered nurse, and monitor and document intake and output.
  • Support patient care throughout the unit as needed and communicate with registered nurses and other health assistants to ensure patient-centered care.
  • Clean and maintain operating rooms and patient bays to support surgical readiness and hygiene standards.
  • Stock and replenish medical supplies in operating rooms and pre- and post-operative bays.
  • Stock and replenish linens and patient nourishments.
  • Perform other assigned support duties within the scope of practice.
