  • An associate degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • At least 3–5 years of demonstrated successful sales experience in the security integration, general construction, or electrical construction industry is required.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of security integration solutions and/or related low-voltage systems is required.
  • The ability to identify and qualify opportunities and handle complex, large-scale accounts and high-value contracts is required.
  • Experience working with electrical contractors, general contractors, consultants, engineers, or end users is required, along with the ability to read construction blueprints and wiring diagrams.
  • The ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines in a fast-paced corporate environment is required.
  • Written and verbal communication skills are required for interacting tactfully and diplomatically with customers.
  • Reliability, self-motivation, organizational ability, negotiating skills, and follow-up skills are required.
  • Proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Office, and customer relationship management software is required.
  • Applicants must meet background requirements, hold a valid driver's license, and have a clean driving record.
  • Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance is required.
Responsibilities
  • Prospect for and cultivate new relationships, identify prospective customers, and educate them about HCI's products and services.
  • Identify customer needs and develop strategies to meet company sales objectives.
  • Lead the sales process from proposal development through closing, including crafting scopes of work, managing project-scope communication, and handling change-order costs.
  • Serve as the primary client contact and establish and maintain partnerships before, during, and after the sales process.
  • Oversee customer accounts, including managing active accounts and fostering sales growth.
  • Collaborate with partners in transportation, global and enterprise accounts, utilities, financial and banking, healthcare, data centers, federal, state, and local governments, and K–12 and higher education markets.
  • Conduct needs assessments and construct proposals for system installation and service opportunities.
  • Develop financial justifications, perform takeoffs, prepare estimates and proposals, deliver presentations, and conduct follow-up through successful sales closing.
  • Build market awareness through networking, presentations, event attendance, and industry associations.
  • Partner with operations personnel to execute growth, development, sales, and marketing strategies.
  • Achieve agreed-upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule.
