- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Completion of an accredited Basic X-ray Machine Operator educational program is required.
- A current Florida state Basic X-ray Machine Operator license is required.
- A current Basic Life Support/Healthcare Provider certification is required.
- No prior experience is required.
- Must be able to work three 12-hour shifts with weekend and holiday availability.
- Must be able to travel to Wesley Chapel and Zephyrhills.
- Perform basic radiological examinations, including quality-control and clerical duties.
- Deliver appropriate patient care while recognizing patient conditions and ensuring successful completion of procedures.
- Provide instructions to achieve patient cooperation and desired results.
- Position patients, equipment, and associated devices and manipulate technical factors to produce high-quality images.
- Assess diagnostic images for technical quality, proper annotation, patient identification, and demonstration of relevant anatomy.
- Apply radiation-safety principles to minimize exposure to patients, self, and others.
- Ensure equipment is in proper working order and report malfunctions to the practice manager or leader on duty.
- Apply standard precautions and personal protective equipment to prevent cross-contamination.
- Conduct basic machine maintenance as necessary.
- Ensure customer safety.
- Maintain regular, punctual attendance in accordance with applicable policies and standards.
- Maintain compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area and equipment.
- Keep work areas stocked and organized.
- Provide patient transport.
