Physician Palliative Care

About this role:

As a Palliative Care Physician, you will work with a team of healthcare professionals committed to providing quality care and excellent patient experience.  In this role, you will join a passionate and energetic team of one full-time Palliative Care Physician, one APP, as well as a dedicated RN, LCSW, and Chaplain – they function like a family and care deeply about their patients.

• Practice at St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction, CO

• The Palliative Service is open Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm, with no call

• Play a critical role on a busy service with around 8 consults a day

• Work closely with local hospice agencies including one with a beautiful 13 bed inpatient unit when needed

• Make a significant and powerful impact on people and their families during times of need

Compensation: 

Annual Salary: $260,000

Relocation: up to $20,000

Starting Bonus: $30,000

What you’ll bring:

• MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine

• ABMS board certification or eligibility in Family, Internal, Palliative Medicine 

• Experience with inpatient adult consult services is preferred. . 

• Active, unrestrictive Colorado medical license, or the ability to obtain one

• BLS and ACLS certification and DEA

• Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process
