Requirements
  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Significant Network experience (Cisco) including design, test, deploy, operate and troubleshooting of network equipment – 7 years+.
  • Solid understanding of routing and switching and standard protocols - TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, SD-WAN
  • CCNP Certification or higher or equivalent knowledge.
  • Strong understanding of Cisco Operating Systems, DNA and ISE
  • Experience with configuring and maintaining Palo Alto firewalls, ideally including GlobalProtect VPN solutions
  • Experience in installing, configuring and maintenance Big IP LTM, APM and WAF
  • Experience working with carriers to provision, install, and operate data networks
  • AWS core networking skills (Direct Connect, Transit Gateways)
  • Sound skills and practical experience in operating systems such as Unix/Linux and ability to script and code in Bash / Shell or Python.
  • Knowledge and practical experience with Network automation (Ansible) and orchestration platforms
  • Effective problem solving, interpersonal, presentation and time management skills.
  • Team leadership in a global context
Responsibilities
  • The primary objective of Network Engineering specialization within IT Infrastructure Job Family is to operate the company's data communications systems.
  • Key responsibilities include consulting with management to analyze computer system needs for management information and functional operations, to determine scope and priority of projects, and to discuss system capacity and equipment acquisitions; planning, designing, and implementing network solutions between multiple platforms and protocols; supporting and troubleshooting network issues and coordinating with vendors for installation.
  • Performs work in a specialized area of expertise that requires knowledge of fundamental themes, principles and concepts. Typically requires a university degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Responsibilities might include: (1) Performing routine professional-based activities (early in career) (2) Contributing to and managing projects (mid-career) (3) Providing advice/direction in primary areas of expertise (specialist and expert) (4) Leveraging professional expertise and relationships to contribute to strategy and drive business results (principal)
  • Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise.
  • Creates formal networks involving coordination among groups.
  • Leads project teams to achieve milestones and objectives.
  • Serves as a best practice resource within own sub-function or function.
