Requirements
  • BS in Electrical Engineering with 15+ years of experience in applications engineering, design engineering, or product definition supporting low power, mixed-signal integrated circuits with embedded processing and security in portable electronic products such as smartphones, tablets, music/video players, digital, IoT devices, etc
  • MS in Electrical Engineering with 10+ years of experience
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with tier 1 customers and internal engineering teams to define system and performance requirements, feature set, and architecture definition for complex IC designs with a focus on security which may be composed of integrated sub-blocks such as ADCs, DACs, microphone interfaces, amplifiers, DC-DC conversion, general-purpose sensor monitors, Digital Signal Processing (DSP), microcontrollers, microprocessors, analog and digital filtering, clocking, analog and digital interfaces, and device-to-device communications
  • Consider all product requirements such as customers' requirements, digital/analog process technologies, packaging options, design/system constraints and trade-offs, interfaces, secure key storage, secure boot, secure processing, secure identity, embedded firmware, and propose viable solutions
  • Document, communicate, and drive security technology roadmaps and IP implementation decisions to meet our customers' and market needs
  • Communicate ideas and specifications to internal and external technical audiences
  • Author, review, and update design specifications and validation test plans
  • Participate in architecture reviews, IC-level design reviews and board-level design reviews with design engineering, applications, firmware, verification, validation, and product test engineers
  • Perform thorough hardware and software security, and system level analysis on Cirrus and other existing devices including lab investigations
  • Participate in industry conferences and forums to ensure device compatibility with adopted standards
  • Mentor junior systems engineers and team members
  • Travel domestically and internationally approximately 2 - 5 weeks per year to work with customers
  • Autonomously manage contending customer- and project-related priorities
