Position Summary
We are seeking an innovative and highly motivated Procurement Specialist who will contribute significantly to the growth of Cellares and our mission to accelerate access to life-saving cell therapies.
The primary focus of this position will be overseeing the procurement of all engineering related purchases. As the Procurement Specialist, you will take ownership of the organization’s R&D procurement activities.
This individual will have the highly impactful role of procuring all components necessary to build our world class cell therapy manufacturing product. Supporting the engineering teams, you will own all procurement activities related to the teams’ needs. This is a multidisciplinary role and this individual will interface with many engineers and scientists - mechanical, electrical, controls and systems.. The successful candidate will be driven, motivated, and self-sufficient.

Responsibilities
- Facilitate procurement process with engineers and scientists to purchase all materials, OTS, and custom components - electrical, mechanical, pneumatics
- Add new vendors/suppliers by working with departments to provide W-9
- Addresses and resolves situations such as supply chain shortages, allocations, bad balances, discrepant material and alternate sources of supply
- Create POs in Coupa
- Creates POs from BOMs (Bill of Materials)
- Update BOMs and Inventory
- Track POs in BOMs (excel, gsheets, smartsheets,)
- Verify with suppliers orders are placed and confirm delivery dates
- Follow up with suppliers that orders are on schedule
- Update Coupa upon receipt of orders
- Handles Customs information requests
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Procurement experience within the biotech and robotics industries is strongly preferred.
- Experience with MRP software, ex. (SAP, NetSuite & Oracle)
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to leverage proven negotiation skills and strategy resulting in a win/win for both suppliers and the business.

Annual Salary Range: $90,000 - $210,000
Cellares total compensation package contains competitive base salaries, highly subsidized Medical, Dental, and Vision Plans, 401(k) Matching, Free EV Charging, Onsite lunches, and Stock options. All displayed pay ranges are approximate, negotiable, and location dependent.
