Requirements
  • BS or higher in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
  • 10 or more years of related work experience
  • Experience with motors, servo drivers, sensors, communication protocols, robot arms, and controllers
  • Experience with circuit design including analog circuits, digital logic, high-speed signals, filtering, high-voltage circuits, etc.
  • Experience using eCAD tools like Autocad Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical, or equivalent
  • Experience with industrial hardware product certification process and standards compliance
  • Experience in troubleshooting control systems and electrical system issues
  • Familiarity with Hardware Product Life Cycle stages and product lifecycle management tools
  • Experience working with engineering off-shore subcontractors, vendors, and global contract manufacturers
  • Strong technical writing skills and ability to communicate technical information
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and global engineering teams concurrently
Responsibilities
  • Lead the architecture and design of reliable, scalable, and cost-effective electrical systems for robotics solutions
  • Drive components selection and oversee their integration into the design
  • Create wiring configurations and harness designs for reliable electrical performance
  • Design for signal integrity, minimize noise interference, and establish effective grounding practices
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for seamless integration of electrical modules
  • Develop and execute robust testing plans to verify the functionality and performance of electrical systems
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing engineers to ensure accuracy in BOM and troubleshoot electrical system issues
  • Engage in cross-functional collaboration with software engineers for operation and communication within robotics solutions
  • Write and maintain design documentation
  • Support initial product installations at customer facilities
