Requirements
  • Four to five years of public relations experience with a focus on technology, business-to-business, or high-growth startups.
  • An integrated storyteller with the ability to understand the modern communications landscape and bridge a Wall Street Journal feature and a viral TikTok moment.
  • Strategic and decisive with the ability to bring new ideas and own projects.
  • High emotional quotient and situational awareness; know when to command a meeting and when to support the team.
  • Exceptionally organized and proficient with backend tasks such as agendas, recaps, and budget trackers.
  • Driven to over-deliver with an entrepreneurial spirit that improves processes and pitches.
Responsibilities
  • Media Lead: leverage an established network of contacts to secure high-impact features and product reviews that move the needle for our clients.
  • Integrated Execution: architect and execute 360-degree communications strategies that weave together traditional media relations, social media content, and creator/influencer partnerships.
  • Account Stewardship: own the day-to-day workstreams for a roster of 4–6 clients; ensure deliverables are met, junior staff is on track, and senior management is briefed.
  • Content Command: produce sophisticated, client-ready materials including messaging frameworks, press releases, executive briefing notes, and high-conversion media pitches.
  • Event & Project Management: lead the execution of media-specific events (dinners, press conferences, influencer launches); manage credentials and on-site logistics while ensuring the big picture strategy is realized.
  • Mentorship in Action: mentor junior colleagues and teach them the how and why of public relations, from drafting pitches to managing budgets.
  • Business IQ: participate in new business brainstorms and help craft proposals; stay ahead of tech trends, venture capital shifts, and platform algorithms to provide real-time value to clients.
  • Relationship Driven: lead by example in how you treat your team, clients, and the press to build long-term trust with stakeholders.
