Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline
- An obvious interest in, and passion for, clean technology development
- Some experience of the nuclear industry would be desirable - but not essential
- A technical interest (ideally matched to your Degree/Masters/PhD) in one or more of the following disciplines: Safety Case Development, Project Management, Radioactive Waste Management, Decommissioning, Environmental Impact Assessment and Planning, Radiation Protection, Hazards and Risk Assessment, Project Controls, Stakeholder Liaison
- Strong writing and communication skills and an ability to engage with academic, commercial, and engineering stakeholders
- A professional qualification or desire to get a chartered status with a relevant institute
- Self-motivated team player and a willingness to learn!
Responsibilities
- Support the Head of Safety and Licensing in all matters relating to the licensing process
- Support other senior team members in their roles, such as site development and organizational development
- Attend regulatory meetings with the Office of Nuclear Regulation and the Environment Agency to support project delivery
- Undertake specific technical tasks and projects (depending on background) to further progress SMR deployment in Europe
- Support the development of and management of the project risk register and other project controls
