Requirements
  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 10 years in a senior healthcare operation and/or senior facility management role is required.
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are required.
Responsibilities
  • Leverage interdisciplinary teams inside and outside the enterprise to define and deliver key capital projects and a portion of the annual capital project portfolio for the Wexner Medical Center and College of Medicine.
  • Assist with problem solving and bridge communication between clinical leaders and the medical center-focused Facilities Operations team regarding existing facilities and under-construction projects.
  • Build strong relationships, provide professional guidance, and oversee capital project scopes, budgets, and schedules.
  • Analyze and present capital portfolio summary data.
  • Provide foresight for partner departments and personnel involved in delivering and activating new spaces and facilities.
  • Lead and mentor team members.
  • Collaborate to manage an assigned portion of the overall capital investment plan and real estate footprint.
  • Guide significant capital projects from conception through design, documentation, construction, fit-up, activation, and go-live.
  • Ensure enterprise priorities are achieved and projects are delivered on scope, brand, quality, experience, schedule, and budget while minimizing project-related risk and disruptions to ongoing medical center operations.
  • Collaborate with senior planners, interior design planners, signage and environmental graphic design teams, medical center departments, clinical and administrative leadership, activation and executive teams, and university partners.
  • Interact and present with community and city government leaders and senior administrative and faculty physician leadership.
Desired Qualifications
  • A master’s degree in business, architecture, construction management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Twelve or more years crossing senior healthcare operations and senior facility management focus areas is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in facilities planning, capital program oversight, and healthcare operations is preferred.
  • Project Management Professional certification and experience with LEAN principles are preferred.
