Database Administrator, Senior
The Opportunity:
Your combination of people skills and technical expertise makes you the team hero, solving one problem after another. As a database administrator supporting a DOD client, you will create, modify, and maintain some of the largest datasets in the industry. Working with our integrated product teams to ensure data delivery, data quality and data security and tightly maintained and implemented. At Booz Allen, you can use those skills to improve the database technology supporting the warfighters ensuring military personnel and their families are getting the support they need to complete their mission.
On our team, you’ll apply leading-edge principles and concepts to ensure data integrity, availability ana security while constantly looking for ways to implement database tuning and performance optimization. You’ll provide your client with peace of mind as you work on unusually complex problems and provide highly innovative solutions to ensure the security and integrity of the database. You’ll use technology and tools to identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical database.
In this role, you’ll mentor and guide a team as you closely impact data for decisions turning data into meaningful information. With your technical expertise, opportunities for mentoring, and introducing new solutions, we focus on growing as a team to make the best solutions for our customers.

You Have:
Experience with enterprise data management policy, processes, and procedures
Experience with database implementations, database language theory, database design, SQL, and database programming
Experience with dimensional data modeling and schema design for data warehouses and conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling techniques
Experience facilitating information discovery sessions with stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts to extract appropriate terminology and context
Knowledge of developing standardized business vocabularies across large organizations and multiple business units
Ability to assist in mapping the business and technical architecture of a delivered solution to technical and functional requirements
Secret clearance
Bachelor’s degree
Nice to Have:
Experience working in a deadline-driven environment, handling and prioritizing multiple tasks under general direction, and independently determines and develops approach to solutions
Experience in System Architecture and Design
Experience with Cloud and DevOps principles
Knowledge of Jira, ETL, SQL, MS Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio
Knowledge of DOD environments and standards
PMP certification or SCRUM certification
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
