Requirements
  • Pursuing a degree in a relevant discipline
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and initiative e.g. school club officer, sports team captain, resident advisor, leadership on school or work projects, etc
  • Candidate will be expected to utilize CAD/CREO for mechanical designs and PLC ladder logic (if controls candidate) for electrical solutions as well as learn and apply vision and robotic programming tools
  • Effective listening, time management and creative problem-solving techniques
  • A degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering

Responsibilities
  • Intern will be responsible for designing engineering solutions for tooling, fixturing and/or controls while they are part of the Indy Ops process engineering team as they support new product launches
  • Will design equipment/tooling, quote equipment, present options, and execute options including ordering, build (with supplier, maintenance, tool room, controls and engineering support). Solutions will be implemented for pilot build preparation, launch, and existing products
  • Obtain the experience to create a foundation for growth and future opportunities with Allegion
