Requirements
  • High school diploma and 4 years of accounting/secretarial experience.
  • Associate Degree or greater in a related field a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and tracking skills.
  • Computer knowledge of Microsoft software including Excel and Word.
  • Detail oriented including accuracy with numbers.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work with confidential information and possess professional communication skills, both in writing and orally.
  • Experience in a fast-paced office environment.
  • An appreciation for, and understanding of, the philosophy and mission of the Salvation Army are essential.
Responsibilities
  • Ensure the timely processing of invoices, petty cash, rents, etc.
  • Responsible for monitoring and approving credit card purchases.
  • Researches vendors, payments, as needed.
  • Ensures new vendors provide appropriate documentation, insurance.
  • Provides training as needed on related topics.
  • Utilization reports and analysis as requested.
  • Serves as point person for divisional Finance staff, Auditors, DDP office staff performing these functions and field staff in the area of Accounts Payable activity.
